Lynsey was my Optometrist. I had seen her a couple of months ago and she very kindly referred me for cataract surgery and this appointment was a follow up. I delayed buying new glasses until my eye had recuperated from the operation. Lynsey is a very friendly, extremely thorough, professional. She again did a very thorough examination and updated my prescription for me, told me about the possible after affects from the replacement lens. I will see her again in a year's time unless I need a referral for laser treatment before then.

Friendly staff who treated me like a person, and with patient with me when I was indecisive about choosing glasses. I didn't feel pressurised to choose or buy anything I didn't want to.

Prior to making this appointment, I did actually make sure that it was a regular optometrist, as had a very bad experience with a locum last year, who was border line rude and I didn't go away with any faith in him knowing what he was doing. I also received a very hard sell by staff on add-ons available with lenses, prior to even getting a new prescription and it felt that it was all about the money. I have found this a few times since Boots took over the Dolland & Aitchson branch. Fortunately, on this occasion the appointment went well, so I try again next year.
